The Canadian Rockstars made their London comeback

The lights went down and Speed Drive by Charli XCX starts playing, which set the scene for the perfect chaos that was about to happen. Throughout their hour on stage The Beaches had over a thousand people in the palm of their hands and following their every move.
The Canadian singers started in 2013 and have since been on the rise. Over their ten years together the band have released 4 eps and 2 albums, their latest ‘Blame My Ex’ was inspired by breakups, the mess created and the life after a relationship. The Blame My Ex tour took the audience through all these stages and created a perfect but messy show.

In one of Londons new venues, HERE: at Outernet, The Beaches played their penultimate show of tour and they were still going strong despite obvious delirium and illness throughout which they claim is London fault as they said “We are always ill here!”
Their guitarist was feeling it the most with a rough voice and “a cocktail of Guinness and lemsip” which created a “trippy experience”.

The whole show was a celebration of life after a breakup and all the messy details that come with it. From songs such as Kissmet, was was a perfect opener, to What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Paranoid there was never a lull in the set. Throughout the show the band and audience fed off each other creating an spectacular atmosphere.
It felt like a massive catch up with friends just joking about and them playing you their favourite songs. The Beaches are a band that deserve arenas as they are bursting at the seems in a 1,300 capacity. Their cool stage presence and rockstar aura needs to be seen by more people!
