Aimie Fleur Reimagines Noughties Pop in Her Debut EP 'Kiss'

On April 3rd, Fleur welcomed listeners into the world of ‘Kiss.’ With ‘Souvenir’, she let listeners into the seductive nature of this EP. Full of noughties R&B nostalgia, ‘Souvenir’ is an addictive pop song. From the explosive production to Fleur’s raspy vocals, it allows the listener to borrow her confidence and transform into the main character. Getting a boost of confidence, reminding the listener of their own self-worth.

Sandwiched between big pop anthems is a stunningly heartbreaking ballad. ‘Mr Sinner’ showcases Fleur’s vulnerability as she shares her deepest feelings and fears in this beautiful pop ballad. The stripped-back piano production means she has nowhere to hide; it is just her and the lyrics. Allowing for this beautiful moment of sincerity. ‘Mr Sinner’ pulls back the pop persona Fleur has produced throughout the EP. Permitting the listeners to see her as a young woman simply going through life. ‘Mr Sinner’ is a truly special song; it shows that Fleur is capable of big pop diva moments, but also she can strip it all back to basics.
